  • This Pinilian weave showcases the masterful skills of the weavers in Santiago, Ilocos Sur with its complex brocade-like weave. Sticks are inserted on the chosen warp embroidered in a traditional vertical loom to achieve an embroidered-like texture and look. The relief technique employed in making the Pinilian weaves lends this typical diamond pattern a fluff of texture.
