The Maguidanao or Magindanaw is the sixth largest ethnic group in the Philippines. These talented artisans learned the craft of weaving over the years, taught by their elders and passed on to their children. They weave colorful and intricate textiles that represent their history, culture, and identity. Some patterns are inspired by the weaver’s dreams or created to represent the royal houses of the Sultanate.
