  • Traditional to the Maranaos, the Langkit is a decorative strips of varying width often sewn as accents found in the malong - a cultural attire that can be used for both special occasions and everyday wear in the community. The Langkit geometric designs are locally referred to as okir. Highlighting their connection to nature and the world around them, the okir designs depicts that different flora and fauna that surround them from potiok (bud), dapal or raon (leaf), pako (fern), pako rabong (growing fern) and katorai (flower).

    Colors may vary slightly from the photo. Material content may also vary depending on the community that wove the fabric.
