Lake Sebu Indigenous Women Weavers Association

The Lake Sebu Indigenous Women Weavers Association, Inc. (LASIWWAI) is a weaving community based organization in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato. It consists of 85 cultural Master Weavers. Formed in 2001, the organization promotes the Tboli's traditional ikat weaving, not only as a source of income to the women of the community but also as an integral part of their indigenous culture. Using natural abaca fibers dyed naturally with various vegetable plants, the T’nalak patterns are inspired by the weavers' dreams.
